A cake house that still bakes one order at a time.
Katie started baking out of her home kitchen on Rosewood Lane, making birthday cakes for neighbours and friends of friends. There was no shopfront, no menu, just word of mouth and a standing rule that every cake was made fresh for the person who ordered it.
That rule never changed. The kitchen is bigger now, and the orders come from across the city instead of just the street, but every cake is still mixed, layered and finished by hand on the day it is baked.
